Brown Fused Alumina (BFA), is also known as Brown corundum or BFA, is made of superior calcined bauxite, melting and reducing at super high temperature condition approximately 2000℃ in electric arc furnace.

The main chemical composition of brown fused alumina is Al₂O₃, the content of which is 95.00% to 97.00%, and a small amount of Fe, Si, Ti, etc. Brown fused alumina is the most basic abrasive, with high bulk density and hardness, is the perfect medium to remove rust, dust and surface pollution.Due to its good grinding performance, wide range of application, cheap price, is widely used in sandblasting, free grinding, resin abrasive, coated abrasive, functional fillers and other fields; Brown fused alumina has the characteristics of high purity, good crystallization, strong fluidity, low linear expansion coefficient, good corrosion resistance and good thermal shock resistance, making it an important raw material for refractory industry. This product has the characteristics of no detonation, no pulverization and no cracking in the application of refractory materials. In particular, it is far higher than the cost performance of traditional brown corundum, which makes it become the best aggregate and filler of brown corundum refractory material (firebrick, refractory castable, ramming material, spraying material, etc.)

The main component of brown fused alumina is alumina, so the grade is determined by aluminum content. The higher the aluminum content, the higher the hardness.

Product granularity was according to the international standards and national standards, and also could according to the user's requirements for granularity processing. The general size is F4~F320, and the chemical composition is different according to the size. The outstanding characteristic is the small size of the crystal and good impact resistance, because the brown fused alumina is broken by autogenous mill, most of the particles are spherical particles, dry surface clean, easy to bond.
